Dear Ones,
Some days it seems the COVID saga will just go on, and on, and on… Your Reopening Task Force met last week to update how we’re working together to be safe.
As you know, we recently returned to in person worship services. The Task Force has the following recommendations:
On Sundays it is strongly recommended that people attending worship wear masks. Even with the new CDC guidelines, the demographic of our congregation argues for continued masking, as the effects of the latest variants are not so mild for people who are older (over 70), and/or have underlying physical issues.
Congregational singing has returned to our worship services, with this caveat: Singers must wear a good mask. A good mask is a 4-ply surgical mask, or KN-95/N-95 mask. We have these available in the foyer of the Sanctuary!
Food and Fellowship Hour after services. We are working with Hospitality on this and we’re going to start small with a table of cookies outside. Please be patient while we figure this out.
Small groups may meet in the Fellowship Hall, unmasked, if all agree. Ventilation is crucial here, so opening windows and making sure the HVAC system FAN is set to ON are crucial.
Thank you for hanging in there, and staying connected to UUFB! We look forward to seeing you soon!
Blessings,
Rev. Lori
