Dear Ones,
As I write this, I’m preparing to attend our Unitarian Universalist Association’s annual General Assembly (G.A.) in Spokane, Washington. It’s always exciting to be in the company of thousands – yes, thousands – of Unitarian Universalists! There will be inspiring worship services, thoughtful presentations, meaningful workshops, and interesting business meetings. The theme this year is “The Power of WE” – and I’m looking forward to understanding better how we are more effective when we all work together for a common goal. Board President Randy James and I will share our impressions and thoughts in the July 7th worship service.
Your Fabulous Worship Team™ and I are pulling together the last pieces of our summer worship series. “Voices, Views, and Visions” will feature a variety of people from UUFB and greater Beaufort, offering thoughtful information and insights on our community and our world. The worship services will still be at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings, and the format will be somewhat more relaxed from the regular program year. A schedule of speakers and topics is elsewhere in this newsletter – and is incomplete! We’re still working on finalizing a couple of Sundays.
I encourage you to continue worshiping with us over the summer, and hope you will be inspired by what you hear.
Many Blessings,
Rev. Lori Hlaban
