To Be Continued: Lots to do!

Lori - Column ImageDear Ones,

Kudos to the Social and Environmental Justice Committee for a fabulous fair during last Sunday’s Fellowship Hour! The SEJ – and other members of UUFB – give time, talent, and treasure to a number of organizations and agencies in our area. The displays were inspiring!

Last Sunday we had many announcements at the beginning of the service! Our Fellowship is a very busy place, indeed! I want to highlight a couple in my column this week…

The Christian Affinity Group and the Habitat for Humanity Faith Build have both modified their program dates. April 7th and May 19th are the dates for Christian Affinity Group programs, Barbara James is the contact person. Tom Hlaban is the person to contact about helping out on the Faith Build.

Our Fellowship Fundraiser Dinners continue this coming Friday from 5:30-7:00 p.m., with a Lasagna Dinner. The food is sure to be yummy, and the conversations lively!

Are you interested in environmental justice? Contact Dave Hudson about the three-session discussion of this year’s UUA Common Read: Justice on Earth: People of Faith Working at the Intersections of Race, Class, and the Environment. (I’ve read this, and it’s fascinating!).

Finally – My next Community Office Hours will be on Wednesday, March 20th, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Common Ground. Hope to see you there!

In faith,
Rev. Lori Hlaban
