Dear Ones,
As we move from February to March, spring is in the air. So is the yellow pollen that gets all over everything – and causes so many of us to suffer with allergies! Still, when I spotted this joyful little bloom last Sunday, I couldn’t resist taking a photo.
Whenever I see these red blooms in the winter, I recall Carolyn McDade’s song, “Come, Sing a Song with Me.” It’s #346 in our hymnal, and the refrain goes: “And I’ll bring you hope when hope is hard to find, and I’ll bring a song of love and a rose in the wintertime.”
It’s my hope that you are also finding little tokens of beauty and joy in your life.
In faith,
Rev. Lori Hlaban
