Why We Support the UUA

From the Denominational Affairs Committee

Throughout its history, the UU Fellowship of Beaufort has prided itself on being a Fair Share Congregation, or as it is now known, Honor Congregation.  From its earliest days the members of UUFB recognized the benefit of a national body that was voluntarily supported by member congregations.

UUFB has made good use of educational programs, outside facilitators, leadership training, and grant opportunities only available through the UUA. While being a Fair Share Congregation isn’t required to use these benefits, UUFB recognizes that mutual support is fair and equitable.

We give to benefit congregations other than our own, investing in and strengthening the presence of Unitarian Universalism. We give to fulfill our covenant as member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
